For me it was a personal choice.

I read a lot of reviews (mostly on 1010tires) and I even made my own algorithm of picking a tire based on your area's driving conditions (more wet than snow or ice for example) and where I live I found out that Hankook iPike would have been the best tire for me (cost/performance/tread wear/etc...) but the guy where I got the tires from swore the Bridgestone would last longer and they are a better tire overall. So who are you going to trust? I went with the tire guy's advice.

As well, if you look on the main forum's tire thread, our fellow BMW users from Alaska trust only Bridgestone. And their winters are messed up compared to ours. This says a lot to the quality of the tire, but then again, a tire that performs admirably at -30 and in snow might not do so well at around 0 and wet conditions.

Only you can decide what tire to go with.
