Are you more of a scenic driver or more of a perfect roads kind of driver? I would make a trip to tail of the dragon and a trip through outer banks depending on where in NY you live. I think that is a great way to start off the new car experience.
also cant go wrong with blue ridge parkway, although it may be kinda slow...
