I loaded version 1.6 of My BMW Remote and it worked fine, albeit a little slow -- in spite of the not available caution. The odds, however, apparently caught up with me as when I installed the latest version (1.8), it didn't work; nor did the older version after I unistalled the newer version and re-installed the older version.
Though I get the big check mark with data transfer successful, after several minutes, I get a message that says data transfer error -- try again.

Yes, same happened to me, I had 1.6 - all working fine. Updated to 1.8 - did not work, reinstalled 1.6 still doesn't work.
