Theres an artical in roundel this month about a fam road trip in a new f31 m sprt. Great looking car, but the insane xi/auto only and crazy standard options makes the car stupid pricey. We all know it doesn't cost any more to build an x1 than it does a 328i wagon. A new wagon costs as much as a well equipped 335i, its insane. Why doesn bmw want to kill the wagon in the US? They have all these new models filling gaps that weren't there, why not give is remaining enthusiasts the cars that already exist with the right drivetrain options (stick/rwd) along side the xi/autos? And stop pachaging in all these rediculous options. Not everyone needs nav.. let alone pdc... bmw cars have good visability and mirros afer all... a reason many people bought these things to begin with!
The x1 may seem like a bargain, but in reality, its just an appropriately priced, less attractive 3er wagon.
