Funnily using cruise has been proven to use
MORE Fuel than not using it. Numerous tests have been done on this.
My wife's KIA RIO 1.4D 3 on a run to coventry with cruise on as much as possible (brim to brim) returned 62MPG, the same run NOT using it returned 68MPG (brim to brim), so she has proved this in her little car. Motorway speeds were possible not 56MPH.
