For coding, one only needs PSdZData >= the ISTA/P version last used to program their car.
One though may want the newer PSdZData to flash new firmware on a particular ECU like KOMBI or HU_CIC.
Then there are people that code other peoples car's and want the latest to ensure whatever car they face, they are able to of code it.
And then there is no shortage of people who just have to have the latest, whether they actually need it or not.
