In the end, who cares how your car looks whilst parked on the street. I'd prefer to protect it personally. The only issue is that you'd really need to be sure to keep the car clean so you don't scratch the paint all to hell. Although a quick polish to fix scratches and scuffs is a lot easier than continunous resprays.
Ja, you mean the front and rear diaper

Probably the best protection though...and you can pack it away afterwards.
