Having just taken delivery of an F30 328i with NBT
but without extended connectivity, I appear to have a completely different experience to the above.
As I posted in the Australia sub-forum (
http://www.f30post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=848005). I seem to be able to play back audio from my iPhone 5 / iPod Touch without the Y cable. In fact I am able to use the white Apple cable, and album art appears as well. This is different from other peoples experiences on this and other forums.
Just to re-iterate, I do not have 6NL/6NK options. This can be seen in the below video where there is clearly no bluetooth streaming functionality. Looking up the VIN confirms that extended connectivity has not been optioned.
