Have any of you bought a certificate of repair for tires from discount tire? I decided not to get the tire and wheel insurance from the dealer. A certificate for all 4 OEM tires at discount tire will cost me $220 (about $50 per tire/certificate). The certificate indicates that the tires are repaired or replaced, but from what I know RFTs are usually not able to be repaired. Granted that in the event of one replacement you have to pay for a new certificate but it seems cheaper than the BMW insurance. I know it does not cover the wheel but it seems a lot cheaper. Are there any other tire places that sell certificates to repair or replace tires?
