I was taking a close look a the 6 series LED headlights next to the Xenons and it appeared to the naked eye that the LED housing was more similar to the Halogen housings than the Xenon housings. There was no ballast or focusing lens, simply a (admittedly complex) LED 'bulb' shooting backwards to what looked like an average Halogen housing.

Why doesn't the mod community focus on doing a full LED conversion for the F30 instead of a Xenon upgrade?
