I too am a former detailer and have used blades forever.
Ive used them on my red, white, black and blue cars and the worse that happens is a streak of rubber from a cheaper blade.

But then again its all in the technique and just flicking the water off as opposed to dragging it away.

But I wouldnt go so far as calling a BMW finish beloved and beautiful.
The colors sure are, but the defects and orange peel are an embarrassment to the brand.
Ive even emailed them saying as much ... they didnt care :/
