not so fast...you should verify those numbers. from my experience...14.4 is right for charging (alternator spinning)...12.2 is normal without alternator spinning because it's a 12 volt battery. If your "off" reading was like 10volts then I'd say your battery is suspect....so in short: your numbers may be normal...double check me
