The ignorance at how great a 4 cylinder engine can be is fairly astonishing. The twin turbo 4 cylinder diesel in the 1er is a cracking engine and will blow away any Golf Gti or most american V6 sedans.
After all, american engines are notorius for extracting nack all bhp from 8 cylinders.
Look outside your shores. Most of europe can' be wrong....
