If that is true, then coding is basically optional for any brake swap. It makes sense though. In the past, I've known several people to upgrade to BBKs and never have to worry about coding.
I know cars these days are more sophisticated but at the end of the day, you press your brakes and your equipment reacts. Larger discs/calipers with higher quality pads are going to perform better. Coding or not.
