Yes, todays generation of RFTs are considerably better than the very 1st like Pirelli Euphori@. Even the prices have dropped. When one of the Euphori@ tyres on my E90 met with a large nail around 5 years ago, no one would repair it. Too new and quite possibly too risky.
However, one should keep an eye on a repaired RFT for a while, just in case it does not work properly.
I agree, keep the $$$ in your pocket until the really good 328i tunes come along. Yes, park away from the gutters and curbs.
