At least the ZF8AT is an auto that
can be driven in manual without it being "weird" like a normal auto driven in manual
And I know exactly what you mean. Sometimes I just want some power but I don't want to change gear. it'll always be an idiosyncrasy of an auto box that we have to put up with but at least for the other 99% of the time it's great
