This exhaust is stainless steel. All of the details are on the Akrapovic site. The workmanship is top rate and the company has put some effort into improving upon the stock exhaust. It is a full cat back exhaust with some dual piping. Akrapovic does have considerable expertise in exhaust systems - they make the ones for BMW and Audi in DTM and also for the Audi 24 hours Le-Mans cars. They are known as the best motorcycle exhausts made.

You will not get big performance gains from any exhaust system - it really is about the sound quality and having something different that is of very high quality. If you haven't installed the MPPK yet, that would be the first modification to be done then the exhaust.
