Yeah, should not be difficult. I just removed the heat shield this weekend to see how much space there is next to the drive shaft to reach up and it looks like there might be enough to not need to remove the shaft, just reach up and somehow remove that clip, which is a bit of a question mark, but the rest should be straightforward.
