Sounds to me as if you're already calling a contact when you say you 'choose' it.
Then you press the button to connect, and you're actually hanging up.
I have no BB, so I could be wrong ofc. Never had any problems with it, not with the iphone nor with a wannabe-iphone (i think its called android :P)
