A pre-show behind the scenes look at the Geneva Auto Show
I was able to walk the floor of the Geneva auto show (
see all our coverage
) during set-up day prior to the official press days. I was amazed that the official opening was just the next day as there was lots of work to do at most of the stands! I was shocked. In typical (German) fashion all the German car maker stands were finished. Some of the "other" stands did not even have any cars there. It was very interesting to walk around and see who was ready and who was not.
One thing was for sure... it would be a really late work night for the work crews at Geneva.
Please excuse the photo quality of my pics. Cameras weren't allowed before the official press days, so I used my cell phone to take these pics. It's amazing what you can see when dressed up in a jacket and wearing nice shoes. It was like I was invisible!
I must first say that Geneva is my favorite car show to visit. The display halls were big but not too big. You definitely walk your tail off, but not like in Frankfurt where you walk 2 miles from one end to the other. Geneva was much more manageable. What I also liked was you had a great mix of euro tuners there too.
I took a ton of pics, so let me show you around the (pre)show...
