Interested to know, as I plan on doing some driving tours in Norway when I get my BMW...

I have been driving my RWD 520d in northern Sweden during the snowy winter and I must say it works very well with good winter tires. Traction controls takes care of everything but the balance of the car is more important and makes it very stable on the snow.
Driving uphill I find RWD better than FWD because the pressure on the rear wheels increase and you get better traction.
