I know you are catching a lot of flack, siddhartha, but I say go for it if you can do it.
I think some people find it difficult to understand it is more about seeing IF you can do it rather than the actual result. I do believe that it is going to be extremely difficult without source code, but if you want to give it a shot and assume the responsibility, then go to town.
