Have to agree with you here.. The customization is cool - i.e. the fact you can get the various interior leather shades, but I wish there were more to pick from with the external colours. The price doesn't correspond with the selection - but it would seem this is intentional.
Maybe they are targeting a 'higher' audience that doesn't care much of the cost? That makes the most sense, right? I mean if they were trying to really sell this as an attractive option, they'd lower the pricing structure and add more availability and make it more well-known to the public; it feels like they have this prestige factor calculated in. Which is fine, that's just the way it is w/ BMW's Individual program. They maintain high control of their brand, so it makes sense.
I see it sort of a different way though with all this Individual stuff. I'd rather spend the extra $5k on an F10 535i (yes, it's only $5-6k more for a loaded 535i vs 335i) if I wanted something "more."
