Good point. I mean there was no definitive "the problem is X" or the company would have just fixed it and we wouldn't have lemoned the car but they were given a multitude of tries to fix the issue and couldn't so I see what your saying.
That being said it sounds like if the OP had his car light on fire and he was able to save it so the dealer could fix the problem and then they gave the thumbs up and it caught on fire again then they would be on the hook for more money.
