I totally agree on making sure the 3 series remains a driver's car first and foremost. The chasiss, suspension and powetrain all have to satisfy the innate desire for a sporty drive. It should NEVER become yet another cushy Lexus cruiser.
Also, if BMW absolutely insist on having over-complicated electronics in the car, at least make it more reliable! The E9X, despite a great car driving-wise, has far too many electronic bugs that irritates you to no-end. I will be writing a novel if I list out all the electronic failings in my E90, let's just say I hope the F30 will have much less.
One last thing, more diesel options for markets outside the EU area!
