This statement is a bit different than your previous saying "rusted parts".

OK, some cars exhibited surface rust on the seat frames. Bad? Yes, but it could happen anywhere. Other posts on the same thread showed it was thoroughly cleaned off so it seems the rust was nothing more than surface rust and likely due to the raw material not being treated and/or stored properly. Yes, it should have been caught, but was not. I bet its been addressed by now.

Do you think factories in Germany and US have not had their share of local issues? Oh, they have!

FYI, Lear manufactures seats for BMW in Germany, SA and USA. Same OEM, all 3 continents.
