Just updating my views on the fuel economy. My car was in for some work and I was given a 116i manual. I had to take my dad to Heathrow in the 1 series, roads were snowy so speed was low and it only returned 41.8mpg for the return trip (130 miles). Trust me I drove it very carefully and trip was reset on the move after a warm up. My 330D would have done 50+mpg for the same trip. Amazing comparison for me, which makes me extra happy I chose a 330D
