No I don't have Driver Assistance Package, but I have a guess what might be the issue. Have you had the dealer do the 'software upgrade'? The way you can tell is when you do the trunk 'kick-open' your rear lights should flash 3 times before the trunk swings open.
I only noticed my door lights on for reversing after this, could've been working before and I may never have noticed.
As far as the software update goes, I never asked for this or even knew it was available, but my car was in for a window auto-close issue and the dealer told me they fixed it with a software update for the whole car. I definitely didn't have the trunk open lights flash before the update.
