Yes, padding is the same for economies of scale, they just have a thicker bolster on bottom and side pads.

I did want the thigh extender on my base, but didn't want the rest of the glam of the Sports...the lumbar on my premium package is nice, but when I toss into corners, a bolster would be nice.

Honestly, when I had sport seats, my legs being "forced together" and squishing my junk got a little annoying. Coupled with a thick winter jacket, I thought I'd give the regular seats a try and I'm not too disappointed.

For reference, I'm 5'10"/195 with broad shoulders (chest 44/waist 33)
