Avoid applying FE, IX, IO, etc. in direct sunlight. Also, don't let them dry on car.
You should be able to remove the discolored look. Try a cleaner/wax. FE is non acid, ph neutral so shouldn't damage paint. Begs the question, what quality paint is used on the replica wheels? Where are they manufactured?
