I have seen the idrive reset once when it clearly got confused on bluetooth connections (my phone freezed during a connection attempt.
About the no signal problem, what I'd like to get is a confirmation that BMW is indeed aware of the problem and is already working on the fix. Oh, an ETA could be helpful as well.
