It is widely known that BMW regret brining the 335d to the US and wish they had brought a 330d instead. 95% of the peformance and shove, but no weird urea system. The 330d engine is probably the best real world compormise out there.

IMHO the 335d in Europe didn't have the urea system either. That was added to conform to clean diesel laws here. Why wouldn't they add the urea system to the 330d if they brought that over here too?
