I'm very tempted to put down the deposit to hold an allocation since my 1-series lease is up in early October. Under what conditions is the deposit refundable?
Paying near MSRP on a F32 vs. an equally priced F30 at almost invoice is going to be a tough sell for me. Almost $100 more per month.

In most state a deposit on a car is refundable by law.
Pricing will depend in a big part on your relationship with your dealer. A dealer might be more open to agreeing to discount a car for a repeat client that also uses the dealership for service than someone from out of the area who they are not likely to see again.
