I remember finding a thread somewhere about HK settings for the E90 and E91. Perhaps there are some for the F30 already, or the E9X settings might work just as well. It mostly depends on the interior of the car. I guess the amplifiers and speakers are the same, just new grilles for the tweeters.
My first reaction when trying the system in my car was: What?!
After changing the EQ according to the thread:
YES!!! 
The difference is huge! That's why a HK system in the shop would sound just as good/bad as the HiFi system.
