The 4GC is faster than the 3er?
428i: 5.7s (0.2s faster)
435i: 4.9s (0.5s faster)
Don't forget that the 4GC also has a wider track and lower CoG than the 3er.

Not sure I understand. Do they have different engines with different output in the GC?
If not, then more weight equals slower car. Physics.
