I got the stock info from this thread:

18" Double Spoke Style 400M (M Sport wheels) - 18x8" ET34 225/45-18 front / 18x8.5" ET47 255/40-18 rear

My only explanation as to why it will work is because the stock rims are 8.5 wide, but have an incredibly deep (from the car) offset because the concavity is shallow. It allows us to bring in the offset a lot while increasing the width of the wheel without moving the part that would hit the suspension.
Sweet, I'm feeling good about this. I just spoke with Forgestar and my wheels are 19x9 +35 front and 19x10 +45 rear.

My front setup will be 255/35/19. 0.6" closer to suspension and 0.6" more towards the fender. Should be plenty of room to occomodate 0.6" on both sides (I hope).

My only issue now is the rear tires. If I go 265/35 in the rear, I'll be 0.1" closer to suspension and only 0.3" more towards the fender - no problem to fit.

But if I go 285/30, I'll be 0.5" closer to suspension and 0.7" closer to fender - could be cutting it close.

Seems like either would work. Also to factor in for me is that if I go 265/35 rear, I'm going with Michilin Super Sports. If I get 285/30, I'm going with Continental ExtremeContact DW.

Sorry, this is apparently my wheel diary.
