Cannibalization may occur, but that's going to be mostly the people who were considering higher spec'd F30's. I don't see the 4 GC as a showroom alternative to someone looking at a F30. Especially if it follows 6 GC suit and is a 4 + 1 "5" seater and not the true family friendlier sedan.
The 6 GC wasn't envisioned to give F10 shoppers another choice - it was aimed primarily to take some of the sales from CLS buyers, and to a lesser extent A7/S7 Buyers.
The 4 GC is aimed right at the A7/S7, and it should do very well since it should come in less expensive than the Audi in most configurations and offer better performance and effciency.
The four door luxo - coupe is a growing segment and BMW has been late to the game. I think for the better since it gives them the opportunity to offer a product without the other brand's shortcomings.
If they offer the N55/N54 in the upcoming 2 GC, that will be my next car to go alongside my E92.
