Don't notice any significant difference in steering feel "stiffness" between comfort and Eco pro when on the highway, but definitely stiffens in sport mode. The steering response though is almost, if not instant, no play in the steering. I find I have to really concentrate staying in my lane as a slight twitch and the car moves off-center. I've gotten used to the more assisted steering when parking, etc, that when I switch to my X5, it feels like a truck with no power steering.
