But you should realize that BMW new models at it's first year is ALWAYS a transition model. After a year or year and a half 3er, 5er, 7er gets new engines, new systems, new technical upgrades and so on. That what I saw with my first BMW 5er e39 and the second 7er e65.
Yeah, like releasing the 320/325 and replacing it with the 323/328 not long after, usually much more powerful
