I believe BMW resolved or significantly improved the DHP "hollow" noises as part of their running production changes. In checking Realoem there's been plenty of suspension part changes that seem to have begun in 11/2012. That said I had a late 2012 build MY13 F30 w/DHP that was quite noisy. Now have a MY14 and DHP is much quieter in this car. Compared to the passive suspension there's still some noise in Comfort mode, but not annoyingly so (where the MY13 was annoying).

Poke around realoem and you'll see what I'm talking about. Select a build newer than yours and you'll see the newer parts. And some have been changed 3-4 times such as the front axle support.

The question is can you get your dealer to install newer parts in your car? Probably not unless BMW ENDS life of the part currently used in your build.
