I picked up my car at Welt on 14 August and it just arrived at my dealer Monday. Last week however, I got a letter from zoll.de (German Ministry of Finance) that while all in German (naturally) seems to be asking me for 12 Euros.

It looks to be associated with my engine size and/or CO2 emissions. The heading of the letter translates to "Information,Motor Vehicle Tax."

Wasn't BMW supposed to pick up the local registration costs?

I don't think that it had anything to do with my actual drive in Germany since I had to go straight from Welt to the Munich airport that same day to drop it off.

Anyone else get this? Who do I talk to at BMW to get them to take care of it?
