Well, they think they solved it. I don't remember BMW claiming they found the definitive cause. I think they kept hardening the HPFP from a design and manufacturing process until the failures decreased.
Do you recall a definitive "aha" moment, as to the root cause of the HPFP failures, because I don't.
I think this is an important distinction. Yes, there are markedly less failures. But, I don't think the cause is fully understood.
Please correct me if I have this wrong.
