Brake torque launch. And it's untrue that it can't be done with a torque converter automatic. Old ZF 6HP's on Audis supported launch control. TCS off, sport mode, hold brake and floor it, release brake when ready.
I doubt the F30 does it and I'm not gonna try it on my own
