Unless or until we are told HOW that figure is derived - PMPO, Peak to Peak, 37.5 watts/channel, RMS (the industry standard - and highly doubtful) or whatever, yes, it is entirely a poor marketing tool at that.
Nonetheless, based on my 2005 E90 with the hk Logic7, I opted for the F30 hk package as although it is not the very best, it is more than adequate.
