XDrive doesn't help you stop in winter..... 'nuff said.
You'll always get people claiming "BAH you'll be fine... I drove through a blizzard in a AWD car with Z rated tires... " blah blah blah blah......
Sure with all seasons, you may have "passable" traction with xDrive (meaning, you might not get stuck), but the minute you need to emergency stop, that hardened rubber will do you a disservice.
