I reckon the 328i is the sweet spot with it's higher LCT threshold.

Had a tuned N54 previously and while the power was nice, I don't miss it unless I'm on the straight of a track.

M cars are for track nuts, it's the only time you really need a proper slippery diff. Or bigger wallets than mine.
