I don't trust myself with the electrical equipment etc.
I ended up going to the BB in Porter Ranch..had a 9500xi with the mute button hardwire kit installed for $50 - including lifetime warranty and the guy said he'd remove it for me for free when my lease was up. best deal i could find and installed perfectly.
