As a former AH3 owner, I can agree that the cheap gas has driven down demand, prices and interest in such vehicles. But BMW developed these cars 5+ years ago, so they couldn't really "stop" when the oil prices dropped like a rock. When they first started working on this model, they could have predicted that gas would be $5/gal in 2016, and this car may have made sense. If anything, cars like the 330e will help them design better totally electric vehicles that will be common 10-15 years from now.
Try 3-5 years... !
