I suspect that the incompatibility is with the THP and is for the same reason that the fog lights get deleted with THP - namely to remove obstructions from the airflow to the radiators in the front grill.
The fog lights - and the active cruise sensor both take up a good chunk of real estate in front of the radiators, and I am thinking (whether we agree or not) that this is the reason for the incompatibility.
Those more knowledgeable than me might be able to confirm...
