The chinese BMWs are still designed by BMW themselves, Brilliance is simply the manufacturer for the BMW based on the given designs and specifications from BMW. The BS6 is a completely different car designed by Brilliance themselves. The BMW vehicles Brilliance manufacturers are not comparable to the BS6 in terms of both quality and safety.
I would assume that BMW wants to keep their reputation as a premium auto manufacturer and has surely taken careful measures in their product produced by Brilliance by strict quality control.
